The Lay Director for Tarrant County Emmaus and Chrysalis Group is Susan Bragg. Originally from Virginia, Susan is a lifelong Methodist, having been baptized and confirmed at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Hampton near the Chesapeake Bay.

In college, she experienced the “Jesus Revolution” firsthand as it spread to the East Coast and attended a ‘Rock Church’ where she heard contemporary Christian music and lively, upbeat preaching for the first time.

After moving to Texas with her husband Mike Riddle in 1980, they both joined St. Barnabas UMC in Arlington where their children were baptized and confirmed.

Currently, Susan and Mike are charter members of Resurrection GMC of Arlington where both serve on the Church Council.

Susan was a pilgrim on Walk #121 at Glen Lake Camp in March of 1998, and she is on track to lead Kairos Weekend #34 in 2025 at the Patrick O’Daniel Women’s Unit (formerly Mountain View) in Gatesville.
